![]() ![]() You can match these together by style (classic, gothic, sweet, oldschool, etc), colors, and motif- for example, strawberry accessories with a strawberry skirt.įor colors, when you’re starting it’s easiest to stick to a palette of 2-3 colors/neutrals (black, white (&co), and brown). So- the basics of a coord are your main piece (skirt/JSK /OP ), blouse (not necessary for an OP), petticoat, legwear, headwear, and shoes. ![]() Maybe a blouse like this one will be better suited? I also agree with removing the bow, it doesn't match well and it is very poorly sewn on. If you have a sports bra you could possible try wearing it with the straps tucked if it's comfortable, it might help with the appearance of the bust, and combined with pull the blouse taught might give you the look you'd prefer. If you can sew you could alter the poof, you could also try to pull the shirt down once the skirt is on to artificially tighten it up. On the bright side, whites and off whites are really easy to find. The blouse really doesn't look anything like the one in the photo to me. (also, sorry for no poof! still waiting to ship my petticoat, hopefully aurora & ariel is a good brand □□) i usually dress goth in my day to day life, so trying to coord colour is kind of overwhelming. I just have these paired with cosplay (please don’t kill me) shoes bc they’re the nicest shoes i own atm, but i definitely plan on getting some actual lolita shoes before i wear it out. i tucked the straps into the wasteband in the last pics and let it sit at my natural waist, and it definitely helps imo, but i wish i could extend the straps because i do think they’re cute. I don’t really like how high the skirt sits even with the straps at the longest button, i feel like it accentuates my chest size even more. i’m going to take the red ribbon off the front because i think it is so ugly (and it sits off center anyways), but tbh i think this is going to hide in my closet until i need the shoulder puff for when i can finally get my hands on my dream dress. it also poofs wayyy too much, i already have a larger chest for my body and i really don’t want it to look any bigger. i feel like the blouse makes it look like i’m wearing a costume rather than a coord. ![]() Tbh i kind of hate the blouse… it’s stark white unlike the picture, which kinda sucks because off-white is a more flattering colour for me. So i bought this skirt as my first lolita piece, and i bought the blouse that the seller paired with it.
